A ranking published by a platform that appears in it requires a disclosure and a method. The disclosure: SpicySwingers publishes this blog. The method: each platform is assessed on active UK membership, features, verification and safety, cost, and the specific use case it wins. Where we're weaker than a competitor, it says so below.

1. FabSwingers: best for membership volume

The UK's biggest lifestyle site since the late 2000s, and for raw local liquidity still unmatched. Free to use with ads, member-to-member verification, comprehensive club and event listings. The trade-offs: a dated interface, no app, no modern features, and a heavy single-male population. If you can only maintain one profile and you live outside a major city, the volume argument still favours Fab. Full review elsewhere on this blog.

2. SpicySwingers: best modern platform

Our platform, so calibrate accordingly. SpicySwingers is UK-built and mobile-first: video verification, private video calls, expiring messages, swipe matching, Who's Nearby with live distance, private albums, no ads on any tier, and free during the launch period with premium later around £5 per month. The honest weakness: membership is growing but smaller than Fab's, so local density varies by region, strongest in urban areas and South Wales and the west. The strategy most of our own members use: SpicySwingers alongside Fab, covering experience and reach together.

3. Feeld: best for finding a third

The mainstream ENM app. Best-in-class for couples seeking singles, particularly MFF dynamics, and for reaching the under-40 non-monogamy-curious crowd. Weak for couple-to-couple matching and has no community infrastructure. Free tier is functional; Majestic runs around £14 per month.

4. Swinging Heaven: best forums and community archive

Running since 2002 with the UK's deepest lifestyle forum culture and story archive. Smaller active membership than Fab, no app, dated design, and recurring member complaints about moderation. Premium from around £7 per month. Best as a secondary platform for people who value forum culture.

5. SDC: best for lifestyle travel

The global platform. Excellent international events, resort and cruise integration, strong editorial. Thin UK density makes it uncompetitive for meeting British couples locally, and the paid model (roughly £20 to £200 depending on term) is hard to justify for UK-only use. Join it when you book Desire or Cap d'Agde.

6. Killing Kittens: best premium events

Not a matching platform but a vetted events brand with an online community attached. Masked high-end parties, women-first rules, London-centric. The best entry point for lifestyle-curious couples who want occasion over scene. Costs significantly more per night than clubs.

Not recommended for UK use

Kasidie and SwingLifeStyle are respected American platforms with negligible UK membership; join only ahead of US travel. Adult Friend Finder has volume but poor quality control and a culture that doesn't reflect how the UK lifestyle community operates. Anything advertising itself through spam or aggressive popups should be avoided entirely.

The practical recommendation

For most UK couples in 2026: a free profile on SpicySwingers for the modern experience plus a free profile on FabSwingers for maximum reach, with Feeld added if you're specifically seeking singles and SDC added when international travel is booked. Total cost: nothing, until you choose otherwise. The platforms are tools; run the ones that serve the connection you're actually looking for.

Start with the modern one. SpicySwingers is free during launch with every premium feature unlocked. Create your free profile.
