Disclosure: SpicySwingers publishes this blog and is a competing UK platform. Pricing changes on every app in this space, so always confirm what is live before paying anything.

What's free on SwingHub

Downloading the app costs nothing, and basic use is free: creating a profile, browsing and messaging, and using the club finder directory. Free video and voice calling is included too, which is worth flagging because plenty of competitors either charge for this or do not offer it at all. AI-assisted verification at sign-up is also part of the free experience rather than a paid extra.

What sits behind premium

Seeing who has viewed your profile is the headline premium feature, alongside nearby discovery tools, link-up scheduling, and more granular preference-based browsing. This is a fairly standard freemium split: enough free functionality to be genuinely usable, with the tools that speed up discovery reserved for paying members.

Is it worth paying for?

Reviewer opinion is split. Some users feel the premium tier is reasonably priced for what it adds. Others describe it as expensive for a feature set that does not go much beyond what a glossy interface promises, particularly when compared with a genuinely free, ad-supported platform like FabSwingers. The honest answer depends on how much you value knowing who has viewed your profile and having tighter discovery filters, since the core app, including messaging and video calls, already works without paying.

How the cost compares

FabSwingers is free with advertising and has kept core functionality, including messaging, free for everyone since launch. SwingHub is free to download but treats itself more like a traditional freemium app, with premium discovery tools gated behind a subscription. SpicySwingers is free to join, and during our launch period every premium feature, including video calls, swipe matching and Who's Nearby, is unlocked for every member at no cost. That will not last forever, but while it is open it is the best value option of the three for a full feature set.

The sensible approach

Try SwingHub's free tier first and see whether the local community actually has people worth talking to before paying for anything. The same advice applies to any platform: free access tells you whether it is worth your time before you commit money to it.
